Mental Illness and Homelessness

Abstract: In eleven pages this paper argues that mental illness and homelessness does not equal a hopelessness equation and examines the scope of the problem, causes, who is affected, and the efforts by the psychological establishment; federal, state, and local government policies and programs; and considers what can be done to ensure that mentally ill individuals have access to decent housing designed to meet their needs. Five sources are listed in the bibliography.
