Historical Sources as a Product of their Time

Abstract: A 5 page research paper that examines three original historical sources to determine the how the personal interests as well as the cultural assumptions of the authors affected their writing and the descriptions they offer of life at that point in time. The writer looks specifically at the work of Olaudah Equiano, a former slave; Osei Bonsu, King of the Asante; and Eyo Honesty II, King of Calabar to provide an historical viewpoint on the practice of the slave trade. Bibliography lists 2 sources.
