Nurse-Managed Smoking Cessation Programs for Pregnant Patients

Abstract: A 9 page paper evaluating three studies and making recommendations based on the studies' findings. Indications given by the findings of these studies are that nurse-managed interventions are more effective than physician-managed ones, and public health settings are more likely to see greater degrees of success than are private ones. Another primary indication is that it is personal attention and willing support that substantially increase positive results in cessation efforts. Bibliography lists 3 sources.
