Abstract: An 11 page discussion of Vladimir Lenin's role in the years following the Russian Revolution of 1917. Debates whether he was strictly a totalitarian or a pragmatist. Presents the views of numerous authors and concludes that while many of Lenin's philosophies and actions were totalitarian he was a pragmatist to the fullest definition of the word.
