Abstract: A 4 page reaction to the 1990's-era film "Philadelphia" starring Tom Hanks. The movie dealt with an AIDS-victim's socio-legal struggles in suing the law firm for which he worked under the assumption that they wrongly fired him just because of his fatal and socially-unaccepted disease. The writer reacts to the performance of various characters, examples of stereotyping, points being made, and the overall emotional effectiveness of the film. No Bibliography.
