Nuclear Reactor Disaster Causes U.S. Congress to Shut Down U.S. Reactors

Abstract: This 6 page report discusses a fictitious scenario in which a nuclear reactor disaster takes place at a French breeder reactor plant. Congress responds by shutting down U.S. light water reactors. This report discusses the reaction of a state legislator whose state (Wisconsin) relies on light water reactors for 20 percent of its energy. The legislator will chair a planning committee to formulate the necessary actions, public information, and response to Washington. Bibliography lists 11 sources.
