Abstract: A 4 page research paper discussing the life of Nelson Mandela. Mandela fought his entire life for freedom, equality, an end to apartheid. He completed a law degree through correspondence and practiced briefly. He was convicted of treason and served 27 years of a life sentence. He was elected President of South Africa in 1994, the first election in which black citizens were allowed to vote. Bibliography included.
