Abstract: 7 pages in length. As the world faced another millennium, the year 1999 represented a period in time when the earth was sicker than ever, showing signs of perpetual death in virtually every aspect of existence. That was more than fifty years ago, and one has to take a good, hard look around when asking if anything has truly changed since the twentieth century. The writer recognizes the considerable efforts that have been made to conquer the ongoing effects of atmospheric planetary degradations but asks how far have we really come to eliminate the detrimental aftermath so prevalent in the year 2050.
