Media Violence

Abstract: Violence as portrayed by the television, film, and music industries is discussed in this 25 page paper. Actual cases of copycat crimes are noted in addition to a section devoted to the effects of music videos. A discussion on video games is also included. Solutions to the problem are provided, including a discussion on the new V-chip technology and the new television rating system. The paper is replete with references to the latest studies on media violence. Bibliography lists 23 sources.
