Isolation: How It Leads To Altered Behavior

Abstract: 8 pages in length. As social animals, humans require positive interaction with others in order to develop and maintain a sense of self within the boundaries of a civilized society. When placed in situations where emotional bonding is withheld, power is one-sided or personal identity is stripped, people find that such hostile environments breed the potential for altered behavior and moral abandonment that bears little resemblance to the otherwise normal, healthy state of the people who are engaging in it. Bibliography lists 4 sources.
