Impact of Imperialism on South Africa

Abstract: In nine pages this paper presents an overview of the Republic of South Africa and considers the enduring impact of British imperialism in a discussion of its history and continuing problems of high mortality due to the AIDS pandemic, its mistrust of the West that has influenced its foreign policy, high crime rate due in large part to the drug trade, and unequal distribution of economic resources. Eight sources are listed in the bibliography.
