Commitments Towards Increasing Awareness of Cultural Diversity

Abstract: An 8 page documentation of one woman's personal attempts to increase her awareness of cultural diversity on personal, interpersonal, and organizational levels. She involves her twelve year old daughter into her efforts as she explores Native American culture and makes friends with an elderly widow. The lessons of the value of being receptive to cultural and sexual diversity in the workplace are emphasized with an experience in her workplace which puts her in the position of the one being discriminated against.
