Performance Assessment within the National Health Service (NHS)

Abstract: This 10 page paper looks at the way in which performance assessment takes place in a National Health Service. After defining what is meant by performance assessment and considering its' goals and manifestations within the NHS performance assessment is then considered from three different perspectives; the legal perspective, the professional perspective and the ethical perspective. The paper focuses on organisational rather than personal performance assessment. The bibliography cites 20 sources.
