Abstract: This 25 page paper is comprised of two parts. The major portion discusses the history of structural inequality, how systems of oppression and inequality are created and perpetuated, the systemic nature of inequality, and the value of diversity. The second and shorter part of the paper discusses structural inequality and communication skills. In this section, the writer focuses on the education system. Numerous examples are provided throughout the paper as are statistical data when available. Bibliography lists 16 sources.
