Domestic Violence Advocacy

Abstract: A 4 page paper discussing the influence of a national organization that affects local conditions. There were no battered women's shelters in 1970 when the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence (NCADV) originated the concept. Today there are more than 2,000 shelters across the United States, inviting the involvement of many other organizations on the local level. Bibliography lists 3 sources.
