Abstract: 9 pages in length. To understand art is to reach for and embrace the meaning of truth, inasmuch as truth forms the fundamental basis of artistic rendering. Nietzsche and Heidegger's respective stances - which equally illustrate how art is the conduit between perception and truth - incorporate this common denominator as a means by which to portray art as an intrinsic component of truth embodied within the artist.
