Math in Cinema

Abstract: A 12 page research paper that examines the topic of how math has been addressed in recent films. The writer examines Jurassic Park, A Beautiful Mind, Good Will Hunting and Stand and Deliver and argues that these disparate portraits of mathematicians have in common similar presentations of math within a cinematic context, which portrays math as something that is rather mysterious and beyond the grasp of mere mortals. Bibliography lists 10 sources.
