Abstract: A Social Work Perspective: Gandhi is one of those people that inspires while creating the question of personal worth and potential for every individual. The question of how he achieved such greatness is one that compels others to seek their own level of achievements. On the micro practice level of social work is the consideration of personal issues. The mezzo level of practice includes small group interaction. The macro level of social work practice - community organization - is defined by bringing people together in order to initiate change. He is an example of all who would wish to use non-violent civil disobedience as a practical tactic for community organization. This 10 page paper explores the three levels of social work practice in terms of Gandhi's life as portrayed in the book, Gandhi, The Man by Eknath Easwaran. Bibliography lists 7 sources.
