Ethical Considerations Of Abortion

Abstract: In any debate there are at least three major considerations: legal, moral (or ethical) and personal. An issue with as much controversy attached to it as abortion is certain to bring about a significant number of arguments based on one, two or all three of these perspectives. The moral permissibility of abortion under circumstances of rape is one such issue. The issue of the individual's rights, the 'viability' of the fetus and the parameters of moral responsibility of the mother are all considerations in the debate. This 5 page paper asserts that the final consideration is that a woman has the legal right to have an abortion in the United States, regardless of moral and, or personal perspectives.
