The Spirit of the UN Charter

Abstract: This 12 page paper examines the 1945 document in relationship with events that have happened since. Both sides of the issue as to whether force should be used in violation of the Charter are explored. The spirit of the document as opposed to literal interpretation is a major focus of the paper. Examples provided include incidents in Kosovo and Bosnia. Bibliography lists 12 sources.
