Is Graphic Television Violence Desensitizing?

Abstract: A two page look at this question in the light of remarks made by Vietnamese nun Chan Khong, who argues that American news broadcasts made Vietnamese suffering look like a performance. The paper concludes that graphic violence on television should be toned down in primetime crime shows, and reserved for the news where it is warranted. No additional sources.
