Abstract: In 8 pages, the author explores the history of the Iran Hostage Crisis and President Carter's role in the crisis. The Iran Hostage Crisis will remain a thorn in former President Jimmy Carter's proverbial side. Although Carter attempted to return the hostages to freedom, he was thwarted. The president was unable to deal effectively with such a situation, and the United States was unforgiving, thus he was not reelected president. Reagan replaced Carter and only hours after Carter left his position in the White House, the Americans were freed. Bibliography lists 6 sources.
