Uranium Mining at Kakadu National Park

Abstract: This 6 page paper looks at the management of the uranium mining at Kakadu National Park (KNP) which is also a World Heritage Site and argues that the bias for nuclear energy on the part of the Austrian government prevented sufficient positive or negative incentives to be out into place to protect the environment in which the mining was taking place. The paper looks at the controversy over the site and the limited regulation that were out into place. The bibliography cites 6 sources.
