Study of a Local Park

Abstract: A 5 page paper which examines the many facets of a local park in Southern California. The park, or more accurately, the campground, is named NIRA and it is located in the Santa Ynez mountains in the Los Padres National Forest, which lies just outside Santa Barbara, California. This park is predominantly used by day hikers and backpackers. It is a region filled with incredible views of the mountains and valleys, and also an area that offers silence and seclusion. It is a prime example of all that is good in a park as it is well kept and the visitors are genuinely concerned with keeping the area as natural as possible.
