Albee's "The Sandbox" - Analysis

Abstract: 5 pages in length. Edward Albee falls under a literary classification not many others have the privilege of inhabiting, inasmuch as the eclectic playwright harbors a special - if not wholly indefinable - talent for highlighting mankind's absurdity. The extent to which The Sandbox reflects the epitome of Albee's distinctive genre is both grand and far-reaching; that this particular story is steeped with vacuous characters who have nary an original thought in their collective heads whose interaction with one another amounts to little more than a spew of formulated truisms.
