Living Will

Abstract: Most people feel very strongly about their religious, ethical and personal beliefs. The individual has a right to autonomy in these areas and a right to have their autonomy honored and respected. Because people are so different in what they believe concerning life, death and personal freedom, it is imperative that there be a system that guarantees these rights. The only such system now available is the writing of a living will and, or, a health care power of attorney. It is the responsibility of the individual to utilize the system that is in place. This 5 page paper explores the reasons for obtaining a living will. Bibliography lists 3 sources.
