Abstract: 11 pages in length. The ideological and political world views as expressed in Roland Joffe's "The Mission" and Zhang Yimou's "To Live" address the very fundamentals of what it means to incorporate a multitude of ideals into such a seemingly unassociated concept as political interpretation. Clearly, the authors indicate that religion, personal gain and many other self-centered approaches have overstepped their boundaries with regard to infiltrating political world views, which has become particularly apparent in such oppressed vast regions as South America. Adopting an overpowering fundamentalist attitude, these entities have permeated into areas of global concern where it they have historically been prohibited; however, with the recent resurgence of a militant movements, the rules have changed considerably in relation to ideology and political world views.
