Spatial Planning

Abstract: A 7 page contention that spatial planning in many respects provides a new impetus for planning as a professional discipline. Spatial relationships have, of course, been an element of practically all planning pursuits even since the earliest of times. Today, however, there is a particularly focused emphasis on spatial planning. The reasons for this new emphasis relate to the changes that we have seen in our world and to the changes that we are anticipating in the future.
