Today's Difficulties in Business Communications

Abstract: A 14 page paper discussing organizational communication. The problems of business communications today are the same as those in the past, the difference is there are now other 'disconnects' that can occur that were not even possible only a few years ago. While it has always been possible to miscommunicate thoughts and intent in a business letter, today we can do the same through email, and the same holds true for voice mail. Though there ostensibly are more opportunities to communicate well and effectively than at any other time, it appears that we are not rising to the occasion. The paper discusses conflict management and concludes that we also need regular interpersonal interaction so that we can communicate well through less personal means. Bibliography lists 12 sources.
