Participant Involvement at Boys and Girls Clubs of America

Abstract: A 4 page paper discussing member involvement in decision-making in this organization. Recognizing that "relevance" will be different in the center of New York City than in a farming community in Kansas, Tennessee or any other location, the organization's leadership depends on the members to convey their needs to those who can arrange community events; secure corporate sponsors; translate national program design to local needs; secure staffing for new and existing programs; and conduct all other activities that directly or indirectly affect members' experiences with BGCA and the benefits they gain from membership and participation.
