History is an Essential Part of Education

Abstract: A 5 page paper which answers a hypothetical assumption that history is not a subject needed in our classrooms, and that history, as a subject, should be dismissed to make room for more important subjects such as computer classes. The student addressing the issue needs to consider many aspects regarding history, some of which are addressed within this paper. One of the most important issues involve illustrating the importance of examining personal history and its role in our lives, and using it as an example of how important history is in relationship to everything we know or experience.
