Insider Trading and Martha Stewart

Abstract: A 4 page paper answering 3 questions: find a 2005 conviction for insider trading; report the charges against Martha Stewart and why she was not charged with insider trading; and provide a personal opinion of whether Stewart should have been tried, convicted and imprisoned. The paper provides a negative answer to the final question. Stewart may have been guilty or may not have been, but prosecutors operated an extremely sloppy investigation.
