EFTA, AFTA: the pros and cons of free trade associations

Abstract: A 20 page paper on the proliferation of regional free trade associations. The writer argues that free trade in Europe can be viewed as indicative of free trade associations among the industrialized nations and that the AFTA agreement can be seen, likewise, as representative of those of undeveloped countries. The way that these interact with each other and the world banking institutes is examined. Bibliography lists 15 sources.
