The technological revolution has brought with it a great deal of beneficial advancements for mankind; one of the most important developments of all has been that of the computer. In more recent times, the computer has moved from the restriction of industry well into the mainstream of society, providing a vast array of resources just a mouse click away. However, along with the advantageous aspects of computer mainstreaming, there has also been a significant breach in individual privacy, inasmuch as computers, as well as the web sites people visit each and everyday, have been structured as such to extrapolate personal information unbeknownst to the user. The writer discusses how the issue of computers and individual privacy has come to be one of the most pressing ethical concerns of the technological revolution. Bibliography lists 10 sources.
