Corporate Law and Governance in the UK and Pakistan

Abstract: This 44 page paper examines corporate legal and governance in the UK and Pakistan. The paper looks at the legislative environment fist. The paper looks at the role of the law and argues that there are commonalities but in Pakistan there is a greater emphasis o the law as establishing and setting the standards for morals rather than reflecting mortals. The paper then looks t how the legal environments have developed and how they differ, with specific attention on the corporate aspects. The paper then looks at issues of corporate governance. The legal framework has an impact, but this is also an issue of personal conscience and morals, the paper looks at the different models and then applies these to both the UK and Pakistan.
