Abstract: This 5 page paper concerns the issue of economic constraints affecting advertising decisions made by mass media executives. A 1999 issue of Family Circle is used to demonstrate that sponsors are favored over providing both sides of controversies. The endorsement of mainstream medicine due to monetary issues is also a theme of the paper. Bibliography lists 5 sources
