Abstract: A 3 page essay that, first, offer a brief biography of Augustine and then offers a brief synopsis of readings from Augustine's Confessions (Book 8) before also offering the writer's personal reaction to the readings, which argue that Augustine's legacy is one of guilt, shame and strengthening patriarchy. Bibliography lists 2 sources.
