The Media: An Important Yet Flawed Intermediary Institution Within the Contemporary Political System

Abstract: A 12 page discussion of the role media plays in the contemporary political system. The author contends that this role has degraded significantly since the latter part of the twentieth century. Although the media maintains an important function as an intermediary, its actions has caused considerable distrust from government branches and from the American public as well.
