Islamic Influence on the Western World

Abstract: A 14 page discussion of the many influences Islam has had on the occidental world. Concentrating on the Islamic influence in Spain the author outlines the religious, political, and cultural influences that have been incurred over time. The conclusion is presented that the many invaluable reflections of Islam's material contributions to Spain and much of the rest of the Western world will continue to represent the dichotomy which apparently exists between the more peaceful aspects of Islam and the memories currently being created in the world by the extremist factions of Islam.
