Malaria

Abstract: A 5 page overview of this ancient disease. The impacts of malaria have been widespread over history. Spread by the bites of Anopheles mosquitoes, malaria is particularly prevalent in the tropics. Its symptoms range from mild to severe and can include chills, fever, headaches, and sweating. More serious impacts target the kidneys, liver, brain, and blood. The disease can even be fatal. The author explores the relationship between malaria and sickle cell anemia.
