Use of Reality Therapy in Schools

Abstract: A 5 page research paper which provides a definition of reality therapy and how it is being used in schools. The theory posited by Dr. William Glasser in 1965 is now related to various therapies, including Control Therapy, Choice Therapy and Total Quality Management. Reality and Choice Therapy are based on the idea of taking responsibility for personal behavior and creating a progressive and fulfilling life even without the benefit of a supportive home environment. Schools are using this therapy to fight crime, behavior problems, improve grades and provide life skills. Bibliography lists 8 sources.
