Value of Maintaining Natural Ecosystems: Preservation Versus Conservation

Abstract: A 5 page discussion of the many complex consideration which go into environmental management. The environmental management approaches of preservation and conservation are defined and contrasted. The author contends that rather than get caught up in the semantics of the preservation verses conservation argument, however, we must selectively employ each of these approaches if we are to find the most workable solution to insure the future of our world's natural resources as a whole.
