Abstract: An 8 page discussion of the various implications of antibiotic resistance. Mechanisms of antibiotic resistance are discussed. An emphasis is placed on Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), Extended Spectrum Beta-Lactamase (ESBL), and Vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus (VRE). Bibliography lists 7 sources.
