Abstract: This 5 page paper provides an overview of a study of memory encoding and language acquisition. The current research reflects two different frameworks for understanding language acquisition and memory. This study investigates an incidental learning paradigm for assessing the levels of processing framework with the inclusion of an imagery condition. Comparisons are made between this element of the study and the use of rhythmic and categorization tasks. Bibliography lists 4 sources.
