Abstract: This 3 page report discusses a hypothetical case in which a five-year-old child has been denied access to her grandparents with who she has had an intimate and daily relationship for her entire life. Basic issues related to the legal rights of grandparents are discussed within the context of the 2000 decision of the Supreme Court in Troxel v. Granville. Bibliography lists 3 sources.
