Health Care in the United States and China

Abstract: A 5 page paper comparing healthcare in these two nations. The quality of healthcare varies widely between the United States and China, but in both countries, the effect of government involvement is that individuals largely have to make their own healthcare decisions regarding access to care. In both countries, direct and indirect government involvement serves to keep costs artificially high. Healthcare is an expensive service even when delivered efficiently; both the US and China exhibit prescribed inefficiencies that keep costs high and limit access only to those who can afford it.
