Ptolemy I Soter / Egyptian Pharaoh

Abstract: A 5 page research report that reviews the works and accomplishments of an Egyptian Pharaoh who laid the foundation for the modern day university system. A General for Alexander the Great, Ptolemy I Soter's dream was to make Alexandria the world's greatest city. He accomplished this, in part, by establishing the Temple of Muses, his most noted contribution. Bibliography lists 9 sources.
