Abstract: 10 pages. The media has a powerful impact on our lives. Unfortunately, the media often distorts the truth, resorting to sensationalism. This sensationalism is what sells more newspapers, so we have to contend with the fact that the fear factor is embellished in many cases in order to sell more newspapers.
