Alternative Approaches: EDTA Chelation Therapy

Abstract: A 5 page paper discussing the use of intravenous ethylenediaminetetraacetate (EDTA) for the treatment of atherosclerosis and other conditions. Chelation therapy has been researched and used for more than 40 years, but it continues to be condemned by the medical establishment that cannot profit from it as much as it can from bypass surgery, hypertension prescriptions and cholesterol-lowering drugs. Medicare and private insurers prefer to pay >$40,000 for bypass surgery rather than paying less than $4000 for chelation therapy. The situation is not seen as holding any promise for change in the near future. Individuals will need to continue to seek out chelation therapy on their own and pay for their own treatments.
