Therapeutic Communities for Children and Adolescents

Abstract: This 6 page report discusses the theoretical bases of therapeutic communities (TCs) and the fact that, most often, the governing principles under which the treatment modalities practiced are also those which are used in numerous other treatment settings. Most recently, they have proven themselves as having become a legitimately unique entity in which the most fundamental concepts of therapeutic communities is the idea that growth and personal progress is an imperative component of being human.
